ABOUT CRCs
Collegiate recovery communities are a growing movement of peer-driven recovery support networks within the often times recovery-hostile environment of college. CRCs are, at their core, groups of students in recovery from addiction, or in some cases eating disorders, self-harm, or other addictions, that want to get and give help in their journeys while also enjoying the college experience in a healthy way. People don't get sober just to spend their college careers alone or in 12-step meetings. CRCs provide the missing element of peer support, community, and fun sober activities, in a non-judgmental atmosphere, allowing students to be open about their recovery and get the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and in their recovery.
Well established CRCs may also offer recovery housing, tutoring, scholarships and more.
